Portraits are approximately life size.
**Travel, framing, applicable taxes, and shipping are in addition to the portrait price. An additional 2nd figure in the same painting is discounted 10%. Larger groups, elaborate backgrounds and pets are quoted separately.
The process begins with a discussion of the general concept, size, and medium for the portrait. A 40% deposit is due upon commission and a date and location for the sitting will be chosen.
During the sitting, I will take digital photos, do a color sketch and take notes as needed for reference.
I will then return to my studio to create a full size sketch and, if applicable, a color study for the proposed painting for the client's approval.
Prior to the completion of the portrait, I will ask the client to participate in approving the likeness and, at that time, make any necessary final adjustments. Delivery arrangements will be made and the remaining 60% balance of the fee is due upon delivery.
